The Dubai Sports Council announced yesterday the name of the new complex in recognition of the support shown by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai. For the ongoing support of sports in the region and his ongoing quest to provide all potential necessities to promote the progression of sports in the country and raise the name of the UAE, in various sports events to celebrate the achievements of quality achieved by the Prince in the sports arena.
The “Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Sports Complex” is considered on of the latest iconic achievements with regards to the sports infrastructure within Dubai. It is also one of the most prominent additions for sports facilities in the UAE, where will the new complex in the consolidation of the country’s sports position to hosting sporting events, major local or regional or international.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has inaugurated the new sports complex on Sunday.
It is expected to starts its activities with hosting international events to hosting the world swimming championships which is scheduled to be held during the period from 15 to 19 December of this year with a selected group of international swimmers, the first time this tournament will be held held in an Arab city.
