UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum received today at Zabeel Palace UAE ambassadors and diplomatic delegations accredited to foreign countries and international community. The meeting was attended by Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Deputy Ruler Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. UAE diplomatic envoy wished the leadership all the success.
Sheikh Mohammed welcomed the heads of UAE diplomatic delegations and congratulated them on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan wishing them all the success under the UAE wise leadership. Sheikh Mohammed expressed his happiness to meet them and valued their endeavors to represent UAE government and people abroad which boosted UAE diplomatic relations with other nations and with the international community.
Sheikh Mohammed asserted the support of UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his government to their mission to carry out UAE’s humanitarian message to the world. He commended the Ministry of Foreign Affair’s effort and continues diplomatic communications under the leadership of Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his team.
Sheikh Mohammed addressed the ambassadors: “you represent your country, your leadership and your people around the world. You carry serious responsibilities and duties to serve our sons and daughters abroad and look after their comfort and interests”. He added: “your diplomatic work is not limited to official and social aspects or to developing relations and connections with officials in the foreign countries you work in. You should extend your activities to include the public and private sectors and introduce foreign companies, financial and investment institutes and businessmen to the opportunities available in the UAE. Additionally, you should promote cultural and humanitarian bridges between us and other nations and work to enhance cooperation in economy, investment, tourism, healthcare and sports. It is your job to promote your country all over the world”.
UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed the Ministry’s appreciation for Sheikh Mohammed’s directives assuring that he and his team will always need the guidance and support from UAE President Hid Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The meeting was also attended by Minister of Public Works Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr. Anwar Mohammed Gargash, Director General of the Court of Dubai Ruler Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Director General Of Protocol Department Khalifa Saeed Sulaiman and number of senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
