 Mohammed bin Zayed, Hamdan bin Mohammed attends reception ceremony of UAE Force 211 Mohammed bin Zayed, Hamdan bin Mohammed attends reception ceremony of UAE Force 211  His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and H. H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, attended the reception held in honour of the UAE Force 211, who returned from Italy after successfully participating in the international patrol to enforce the No-fly zone over the Libyan airspace in accordance with the UN Security Council resolution No. 1973 for year 2011. The move comes in line with the UAE commitment to protect the civilians and residential areas.  Sheikh Mohammed and Sheikh Hamdan were received at Al Dhafra Air Base in Abu Dhabi by Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Staff Lt. General Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi. The event, organised by the Armed Forces, was also attended by H. H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser, H. H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, H. H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, H. H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, H. H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority, a number of Sheikhs, ministers, senior civil and military officials. Sheikh Mohammed and Sheikh Hamdan were briefed on the participation of the UAE Force in the UN mission and the role played by the Air Forces over the last seven months since the enforcement of the air no-fly zone by the UN Security Council over Libya. The UAE air operations observed the moral and humanitarian aspects through curbing assaults on the civilians and ensuring the relief aid supplies reached the civilians. The Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and the audience watched the film on the mission of the UAE Force and the visits paid by senior Armed Forces' officers to inspect the force. They also toured the photo show, which documented the mission. Sheikh Mohammed congratulated the force for the mission accomplished. 12 UAE jet fighters took part in the mission.
